The problem is that G.Bush is not a moron, he merely attempts to portray himself as less than intelligent. He quite knows what he is doing, and despite his protests to the contrary, does not at all care for the Jewish state, emphasis on Jewish. He wishes to control Israel, he wishes, I believe, to control most of the world. I do not and have never trusted him. Trouble was I did not trust Kerry either. I am begining to regret my decisions on the vote, begining to wonder if I shouldn't have taken a stronger stand, and been more clear about my objections to Bush as the leader of what is currently the only super-power.

That's truly scary! Not that I am surprised. Bush manages to do many things that surprise me .

What really bothers me about this is that one of the seminal points of the Bush Administration in the war on terror was the pulling of US support for the PA under Arafat. And Abbas is basically Arafat reincarnated.

What's more the US won't be respected for it by the PA. In fact probably quite the opposite.

And Israel will gain nothing from "geting out of Gaza". Not respect from the rest of the world, not peace and certainly not security.
