  1. Ari has been sick and having to have breathing treatments like Josh usually does when he’s sick. It’s the first time that’s ever happened. I’m just trying to muddle through my Spanish class so I can go on to grad school in January. Joe is about to start a couple of months of trauma and I’ll hardly see him and he’ll have call days that are 24 hour days (those are hard on me). I’ve been having a lot of abdominal pain over the last month and a half. My surgeon finally ordered a gallbladder ultrasound despite the fact he truly believed it was my eating habits. Well, turns out it’s my fucking gallbladder (thanks for listening, doc) and I am having that out on Friday. I just hope to feel better soon.

The comment just struck me the wrong way, especially because it was so flippant. These people have no idea what it’s like to be raped, let alone have to make a decision about a birth that resulted from a rape. There are even children getting raped by relatives and getting pregnant. I’m sorry if I sound crass, but I really do hope those same people get a taste of what that’s like. It’s so simple looking in from the outside. Not so easy when you’re in the middle of all of it.

Furthermore, it sickens me how most pro-life people are pro-death penalty. Am I the only one who finds that disturbing? They condemn pro-choice people for acting on their beliefs when they simply do the same. If it weren’t so sad it would be funny. Oh, by all means, let’s let these people decide who should live and who should die.

Obviously, I’m still sensitive about this. LOL
