It’s not even Thanksgiving yet!

Does anybody else think its nuts that some radio stations are already devoting all of their music playtime to Christmas Music? It’s not even Thanksgiving yet.

  1. Doesn’t surprise me. I saw my first Christmas commercial on TV on October 27th. And the stores have had Christmas trees up since September. I’m not sure what the “Christmas spirit” is anymore, but it sure is serious busine$$

  2. NT brought that up in another forum recently. I think it’s awful. Before Halloween they had trees up. Oh, and back in August when I went to buy party supplies for Ari & Josh’s birthdays, they had cleared out the store for Halloween already…IN EARLY AUGUST! One thing to remember, though, is that the public determines the economy with regard to this. So, as long as there’s someone willing to buy Christmas stuff in mid-Oct., they’ll keep selling it in mid-Oct.

  3. Absolutely unnecessary! I enjoy keeping things the way they were (i.e. no Christmas music before December 1–or, if we’re having a bad week we might start playing it the day after Thanksgiving) in our home. That helps keep it special.
